We need your Skills & Talents …
Do you have special Skills and Talents that you’d like to donate? Calling all community members … We are looking for Maple Ridge residents’ who want to show off their Skills and Talents, all while supporting a great cause … your community foundation.
What do we mean by a Skills and Talents Auction item?
Well, our local businesses get asked often for donations to different charity functions and they come through for us time and time again.
We would like to suggest that all the residents of Maple Ridge have either a skill or a talent that is worthy of an auction value. For example, do you like to cook, knit, love to garden, have a power washer, and on and on. How about a rent a husband, or as some people suggest a Mr. Fix It?
Even the special interest clubs can donate. Rock Hounds, give your time to show someone how you go about finding the rocks you use. Hiking clubs, show new people to the area, the best hiking spots! I understand Mrs. Mayor makes great pies! Has someone a great cookie recipe? A dozen or so of homemade cookies would get a good price at our silent auction. One member of our committee actually likes to house clean... I would bid on that one for sure!

The Silent auction will take place at our annual fundraising dinner event set for Thursday April 12th at Meadow Gardens Golf Course starting at 6pm. If you are unable to donate your time or special skill, perhaps you’d like to help by attending … tickets are only a $100 and include a tax receipt for $50. Help us give back to the community by supporting our community events; remember we annually give back to Maple Ridge organisations and citizens through our granting program.
