Welcome to the Maple Ridge Community Foundation
We’re passionate about connecting people, ideas and resources through community philanthropy
The Maple Ridge Community Foundation is a public foundation established by, and for, the people of Maple Ridge. We work to make giving easy by providing ways to connect donors with causes that matter in their own community, and by facilitating individual, corporate and foundation philanthropy.
As an independent charitable organization, our only limit is the will and the imagination of our donors
A gift of any amount creates a legacy that addresses the needs of our community today and tomorrow. We believe in the power of individuals, charitable organizations and corporations working together for positive change, and we invite you to join others who care about Maple Ridge.
Please explore our website and learn how you can get involved in making a difference in your community. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have, or to arrange for a private appointment. We look forward to working with you.
2012 Citizen of the Year - Call for Nominations!
Do you know an outstanding community member? Someone who has supported local charitable organisations, community groups, raised money for good causes? Every spring we call for nominations from the community in the hopes of finding an individual who has given freely of their time and efforts. We need to hear from you to learn about the many community-minded members of Maple Ridge who have made outstanding contributions to our municipality.
Since 1991 the Citizen of the Year has been awarded to individuals who have been nominated by their peers. This award is to recognise and honour a dedicated individual who has made outstanding volunteer contributions to enhance the quality of life in Maple Ridge or to enhance the image of Maple Ridge in the larger community. Those contributions can be broad based and may be in areas of art, culture, athletics, social service groups, the business community or service club.
It is community members who you believe should be presented with this prestigious award. If you know of an individual who fits the criteria we hope you will take the time to speak with her or him and submit a nomination form.
